Why Buy Glenturret Sherry Edition 2014?

Earlier Glenturret Bottling

Collectors often look beyond current releases when building a distillery-focused whisky collection. This 2014 bottling provides an opportunity to own an earlier Glenturret Sherry expression.

Sherry-Matured Highland Single Malt

Sherry maturation is central to the identity of this release. The 2014 bottle is specifically recorded as being matured in Sherry Butts.

Distinctive Collector Profile

This is not simply a current shelf release. The 2014 bottling belongs to an earlier generation of Glenturret Sherry whisky, making it an interesting choice for collectors comparing historical and contemporary expressions.

Premium Display Bottle

Its older bottling identity makes it a natural addition to a vintage Scotch collection, Glenturret collection or premium whisky display.

Strong Distillery Appeal

Glenturret remains a recognizable Highland single malt name, giving this bottle relevance for collectors building collections around established Scottish distilleries.

Collector Appeal

The strongest reason to consider the Glenturret Sherry Edition 2014 is its specificity.

Collectors searching for:

• 2014 Glenturret whisky
• Glenturret Sherry Edition
• older Glenturret bottlings
• rare Highland single malt
• Sherry-matured Scotch
• collectible Scotch whisky
• vintage whisky bottles

are looking for a very different product from a standard current-release single malt.

The 2014 bottling provides that distinction.

Whiskybase separately lists the 2014 40% Sherry Edition and a later 2015 Sherry Edition Batch 1, reinforcing the importance of identifying the specific bottling year when purchasing this expression.

Tasting Profile & Sherry Character

Sherry-matured Glenturret expressions are associated with a rich combination of sweet fruit, oak and warming spice.

Comparable Glenturret Sherry Edition references describe profiles involving vanilla, orange, apricot, oak, caramel, honey and spice, while the broader Sherry Cask Edition uses European and American oak Sherry-seasoned casks.

For buyers, this makes the expression particularly attractive if your collection leans toward:

Sherry influence + Highland malt + fruit sweetness + oak spice.
