The Macallan Rare Cask Black tells a story of rarity, created with hand-selected casks from The Macallan Estate. The whisky was matured in American and European oak sherry-seasoned casks, with its peat smoke character gained from exceptionally rare, aged stocks of peated distillation.

    Nose:    Prominent, yet subtle peat smoke gives way to dried fruits, nutmeg and ginger, with hints of vanilla.

    Taste:    An intense sweet raisin is followed by rich dates and figs, underpinned by dry smokiness.

    Finish:    Long, fruity, with an elegant wood smoke.
